Henry E. RileThis is a featured page

Henry E. Rile came to Whitewater as a teenager in 1856. He worked in several of the new brick "blocks," or buildings, downtown, and is best known for his sketches of the buildings in the area. He returned to New York in 1862 and sent many letters to the editor of the Whitewater Register, which were published in number of issues. A collection of these letters can be found in the Irvin L. Young Memorial Library in Whitewater, for good reading. (Fred Krage, Whitewater)
