Lorraine Miller
The Brass Rail, named for the brass rail originally installed, was started in 1964 by Lorraine Miller and her husband, Jim, in its present spot on the north side of Main Street, at the intersection with Whitewater Street and near the old mill race. It was then and perhaps still now is the "classiest bar in town." Lorranie and Jim's two sons are Jim Miller, the now retired, award-winning UWW baseball coach, and Tom Miller, Walworth County Coroner.
