-Channel 13 -Special Events (March Seniors in the Park, Library case, Historical Society meeting March 21, Bassett House reunion dinner May 7, Oak Grove Cemetery Tour May 28 H-C booth, Possible historic Tour during H-C: Carol Cartwright) -newspapers (ongoing updates Kristine, H-C history Ellen, Log Cabin Carol)
    1. Cross Promotions of Other Events
- Oak Grove Cemetery Tour (May 28th and 2nd during H-C) - Summer school musical (June 28, 29) - Bassett House Old-fashioned Fourth (July 1) - Stone Stable Dedication - Log Cabin Re-dedication - Historic homes brochures- make available in key locations

- Display location? - Henry Meisner has a Weyher Wagon catalog - Examples of manufacturing (Esterly seater in Cassville, Whitewater wagon in Palmyra, Esterly wrench – Fred) - Esterly DVD, video (Jerry Wendt to narrate, Alan Luckett to produce, shown at Welcome Center, copies for sale)

- projects to connect with H-C event (musical, art, Social Studies, summer school) 7. Local Artists - Leon Pescheret – Crossman Gallery Sept. 2007 - Fran Achen - Ben McCready- (special painting for auction, cards/other products, Display at First Citizens State Bank in June and July) 8. Authors, Othes (songs, etc…) - Mrs. Stephen Ambrose - Local resident, Joseph Hawes wrote song for 1860 Lincoln campaign (Fred has words, Opala Bilhourn / Mark Birdenwirper-melody, Thayer Coburn –good tenor to sing, Richmond House menu has story of Whitewater) 9. Special Groups - Hobbits? Idea from Shirley Hapka (contact De Brunner, Gary Klatt) - Fun Hunters? 10. Special Displays - Spinning (Phillip, friend of Fred’s) has display 11. Birge Fountain - Showcase rehabilitation - Use colored lights for H-C event
  • Overview of Whitewater 2007 Home-Coming website www.whitewaterhomecoming.com – vehicle to relay memories and stories of Whitewater and it’s citizens.
  • Home-Coming committee chairpersons have been invited to the Whitewater Historical Society meeting on 3/21/07 Wed. at City Hall.
  • Rick Fassl has reserved the Crossman Gallery at UWW from the last week of June through the first week of July to display historical items and artifacts related to Whitewater.
  • The Esterly (wagon/farm implement) project could be displayed in the Crossman Gallery rather than the Stone Stable for better protection.
  • Karen Weston, archivist for UWW, has had contact with Albert Salisbury’s great great granddaughter. She is thinking about traveling back to Whitewater for the Home-Coming. There is also a male cousin that could possibly come too.
  • Carol Cartwright and Ellen Penwell are writng historical perspectives on the Log Cabin and the 1907 Home-Coming.
  • Jay Craggs would be willing to help the committee create flyers, invitations, posters, etc… to spread the word regarding the 2007 Home-Coming event.
  • Look over the Unity tasks at hand and decide how you can contribute.
  • Next Unity Committee meeting: April 2, 2007 Monday 6:30p.m. at Sugar Bay
