Margaret Nichols - Whitewater Home-Coming
Margaret was wearing her medallion from the 1907 Home-Coming Festival, which she attended as a 5-year-old with her sisters Mary, Evelyn, and Mildred and her brother Earl. Margaret is looking forward to this year's centennial Home-Coming event, and has been promised a medallion from the 2007 Festival to add to her collection!

On the occasion of her 100th birthday, in 2002, Margaret was taken to see the house she was born in in Lima Center, riding in a rumble seat!

Margaret Nicholas, nee McCord, was born to William and Anna McCord, the second-youngest of five children. The family first lived on the homestead on N just east of where the Stoddard School was located, from 1907 to 1925.

Margaret married Roe Nicholas in 1933. They had no children, but travelled extensively, including Zurich, Austria, and Liechtenstein. Roe passed away in 1964.

Margaret's only brother, Earl, later died in the Spanish Flu edipemic in 1919, when he was in the service.
