Ila Webb recalls Mrs. and Mr. Elmer, who lived near her (Ila lived in the yellow brick duplex on the northeast corner of Fremont and Center, where Carrie Austinsson presently lives) on the street they eventually closed near the downtown. They wanted the Webb's to buy their house, but Ila's husband didn't think it was a good idea. The telephone office was just down the street too.

Mr. Elmer was a super man, principal of the school on campus. Mrs. Elmer came every time there was an event and loved the kids; she'd hug them and enjoy them. If Mr. Elmer needed something done or typed, he'd ask one of the kids in study hall if they had the time - he didn't have office help. Mr. Roseman took care of grades, and Mr. Yoder was Chancellor of the campus.
