When we were children we would go exploring--some of the things we would find in unpopulated areas were small fossils in rocks and what really looked like arrowheads. I know the boys always kept them--sometimes they would even find a stick and tie them unto it(this must have been before duck tape...lol)so they could hunt(snipe...lol?)

We recently moved into an 1878 Colonial and have started digging in our perennial gardens. With our project, we have found many little things of no importance (broken Dairy Queen spoons, etc.) but to our daughter's delight, we keep on finding marbles! We have only been working for about 3 weeks and have collected a little over 20 marbles! It is a great way to get our daughter involved in a little digging....
