Pete Webster was the State Chess Champion in the 1970s or 1980s, he still comes back to play at the UW-W Chess course, taught by Prof. McFarland, rand outinely beats 20-30 players in simultaneous matches at the end of the semester.

He also plays in the chess tournament at Milwaukee's German Fest. Pete also taught at least one year in the UWW Summer Chess Camp, which is no longer held.

He currently lives in Janesville, but when he lived in Whitewater he lived across the street from the the Toppers World Headquarters.
