The Goal Post should be added to the restaurants, owned by the Jones Family (daughter Carol is still in Whitewater).... a great local hang-out for malts, burgers, and fries!

In the 70's there was a place called "The Deli"--it was next door to The Brass Rail. They sold all the things you would see at a deli, cold cuts, bagels, pickles...the family that owned it were very nice.

We are forgetting: Texaco, Salamone's Pizza, Howie's Hilltop (where else can you get take-out beer after midnight?), Culligan's, Majestic Cleaners, The Red Lantern, Sandy's which then became Hardee's, Sentry, Rexall Drugs, The Rathskeller, The Down-Under, Gus's Pizza (best pizza ever!), and The Record Shanty. Also, Brohahau was a clothing store, not a restaurant. Also, don't forget about the Armory. My mom said that they had New Year's Eve parties with live bands, Halloween parties and it was a roller skating rink for a while. I remember a clothing store where there was a vault for the dressing room. That is where my brother and I bought our Star Wars t-shirts. tlt
